Max E. Peltier

Max E. Peltier, age 74, of Concordia, KS passed away surrounded by family at his daughter’s home in Topeka, KS.  He was born in Concordia, Kansas, on October 22, 1950, to Leo and Isabell (Schuetz) Peltier.

Max was a 1969 graduate of Notre Dame High School, Concordia, Kansas.

He married LaDonna Breault on April 15, 1978.

Max was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.  He was a very active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1142.

Max worked at Peltier Foundry since high school and was co-owner since 1981.  He was also a local farmer in partnership with his two brothers, Dave and Jim Peltier.

Max loved to travel with his family and dear friends, especially on cruises.  He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Jayhawk basketball.  He enjoyed farming and rarely had a conversation that didn’t involve a discussion of the weather.  Max loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father, and Papa.

Max is survived by his wife, LaDonna Peltier, Concordia, KS; daughter, Lori Peltier (Scott), Topeka, KS; son, Matthew Peltier (Jill), Topeka, KS; Melissa Peltier (Amanda), Manhattan, KS; grandchildren, Leah Peltier, Allison Peltier, Topeka, KS; brother, David Peltier (Sue), Concordia, KS; three sisters, Regina (Tom) Kiesler, Clarksburg, MD;  Elizabeth Wedel, Port Washington, WI & Mary Anne (Steve) Laroe, Linden, WA; mother in law Marilouise Breault, Concordia, KS, sisters in law, Suzanne Abercrombie (Max), Concordia, KS, and Theresa Peltier, Concordia, KS; brother in law, Edward “Joe” Breault (Sherri), Wichita, KS; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother (Jim Peltier), father-in-law (Gearld “Pete” Breault), and brother-in-law (Don Wedel).

Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12th. Parish rosary will be from 6 to 6:30 p.m, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. – all at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13th, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, Kansas, with Fr. Joseph Kieffer and Msgr. Barry Brinkman officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Concordia Catholic Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.
