Michael Lee Plunkett, 60, of Lindsborg, passed away Wednesday, June 8th, 2022.

Mike was born in Salina, Kansas on February 15, 1962, a son of the late Edna (Hart) Kerby and Eldon Roy Plunkett.

He worked at Advance Auto as a shipping loader for 17 years and at Pfizer as an SPO for 10 years.

Mike loved to fish, tinkering with vehicles, helping others, and was a great handyman. He could fix anything.

Survivors include his wife, Joanie (Pfeifer) Plunkett; step daughter, Gerri Huehl (Scott Phillips) of Salina; three step sons, Donovan Huehl (Lorrie), of Hutchinson, Kansas, Dallas Pfeifer, of Salina, Joshua Shafer, of Salina; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; two brothers, Alan Plunkett (Terry), of Carlton, Kansas, Albert Plunkett, of Larned, Kansas; sister-in-law, Donna Plunkett, of Tescott, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his faithful companions, Duke and Cooter.

Mike is preceded in death by his brother, Alvin Plunkett.

Cremation has been chosen and no services are planned.

The family requests donations be made in Mike’s name to Tammy Walker Cancer Center, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas 67401.
