Michelle Ann Thigpen was a nurturing, loving mother, grandma, sister, and aunt to many who will miss her dearly. On January 26, 2024, she passed away peacefully at the age of 68.
Michelle was born March 25, 1955, in Abilene, KS. She grew up in Abilene until moving to South Carolina with her husband Wayne Thigpen. She loved being a homemaker while raising her three children. After her children started their lives, she moved back to Abilene to spend her last beautiful days with her mother, 8 siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Yeadon SR., Tom Rossiter, and Edna Rossiter, her husband Wayne Thigpen, and her brother Tommy Yeadon.
Survivors include her siblings, Frances Schneider, Flora (Verlyn) Bergman, Jeanette Yeadon, all of Abilene, Judy (Michael) Tasker, of Wisconsin, John Yeadon Jr., Lisa (Don) Good, Edward Yeadon, and Jamie Yeadon all of Salina. Her children, Christy (Steve) Thigpen-Parker, Marie (Bubba) Thigpen-Saulisberry, Jason Thigpen (South Carolina), 3 grandchildren, Heather (William) Rivera, Brandon Saulisberry, Hunter (Kaite) Saulisberry, many great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024, at Ryan Mortuary 137 N. 8th St, Salina, KS. Visitation will be held the hour prior the service. Burial will be immediately following the service at the Livingston Union Cemetery, 2951 Indy Road, Abilene, KS.
