Mildred “Millie” Wikoff, age 94, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2023, at her home in Salina, KS. Born on July 20, 1929, in Ellsworth, KS, she was united in marriage to Grant Wikoff on November 15, 1952. Together they raised a daughter, Sandi (Wikoff) Harper, and welcomed the arrival of their precious granddaughter, Kolbi Harper.
“Millie,” as she was known to her family and many friends, was a waitress and hostess at the Brookville Hotel for over 20 years before dedicating her life to raising her daughter and supporting Grant on their ranch. She later returned to work at the Brookville Mercantile after Sandi was grown.
Millie’s greatest joy in life was spending time with family, especially her daughter, granddaughter, and special niece Nancy. Their weekend shopping trips to Kansas City werefilled with laughter and many special memories. In her later years, Millie enjoyed traveling with her sister-in-law Helen, and together they embarked on many adventures, enjoying the beauty of the backroads of Kansas, and venturing on tours across the country.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband Grant. She is survived by her daughter Sandi and husband Brent Harper, granddaughter Kolbi Harper, and niece Nancy Rousseau.
Services celebrating Millie’s life will be held at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th Street, Salina, Kansas. Visitation will be Friday, December 1st from 5:00 – 7:00pm and funeral service on Saturday, December 2nd at 1:00pm, followed by burial at Carneiro Cemetery.
