Mitchell “Butch” Hagen, age 66, died Friday November 22, 2019 at his home in Clifton, KS. He was born on October 12, 1953 to Robert L. & Ruby I. (Wulf) Hagen.
He graduated from Concordia High School in 1971. He joined the US Army in 1972 and served in Germany until 1975. During his active duty service, Butch spent a lot of time in Switzerland learning to ski. He was a longtime Clifton resident. He had several jobs throughout the years but always enjoyed working on cars. He also DJ’d at The Rendezvous in Concordia.
He is survived by his sisters, Vicki Conn (Dan), Concordia & Bobbie Jo Brown (John), Clifton; brother, Rick Hagen (Vickie), Belleville & several nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family selected cremation and will celebrate Butch’s life at 11:00 am on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde with Dwight Whitead officiating. Friends may sign the register book from 8-11 am pm with family greeting friends from 10-11 am on Monday, December 9, 2019 at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted at the services by VFW Post #7515. The family suggests memorials to the American Legion Post #227. Clifton or VFW Post #7515, Clyde in care of the funeral home.
