Norma Rae (Worman) Faelber, 92, passed Sunday, February 12, 2023.
She was born to Marvin and Sylvia (Parson) Worman on December 5, 1930 in Goodland, Kansas.
She lived most of her life in Gypsum, Kansas. She graduated from Gypsum High School and married Dale C. Faelber, June 5, 1949. She began painting at age 14 and has art displayed in Gypsum City municipal buildings. She was a 4H Club knitting leader. In 1994, was honored “Wife of the Year” by Kansas Land Improvement Contractors Association and along with Dale received Certificate of Appreciation for 55 years of Service. She also enjoyed traveling and was an avid photographer.
She was preceded in death by parents, brother, Marvin (Jack) Worman, brother in-law, Jim Hall, in-laws, George and Mary (Hobson) Faelber.
Survived by her husband; daughters, Barbara (Roger) Messenger, Carol (Roger) Schmidt, Diane Faelber; son, Gary (Deb) Faelber; sisters, Pat (Dwight) Conley, Dyretha Hall; sister in-law, Ruth Worman; brother, Frank (Dedra) Worman; grandchildren, Stephanie (Terry) Thiessen, Steven (Brenda) Messenger, Kregg (Kerri) Schmidt, Jeff Schmidt, Ashley Faelber, Zachary Faelber; 5 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
