Patricia Joan “Pat” Pfalzgraf, 85, of McPherson, KS, passed away at 11:45 p.m., Monday, June 8th, peacefully, at McPherson Hospital.

Pat was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on July 8, 1934, a daughter of Helga Frances (Chenoweth) and Loren J. Brown.

Pat attended the Hutchinson schools and graduated from Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson, Kansas in 1952. She then attended St. Elizabeth Nursing School in Hutchinson, Kansas.

She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ McPherson, Kansas where she served her church in several capacities through the years.

Pat was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. Through the years she worked for Dr. Price as a receptionist and as a nurse.

Pat was a member of the Ladies Golfing Association at Turkey Creek Golf Course.

Pat enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, vacation trips to Minnesota, and all the family celebrations.

Patricia Joan “Pat” Brown was united in marriage to Richard Jacob “Dick” Pfalzgraf on December 9, 1953 Lexington, Missouri With Dick in the military being shipped out to Korea, Pat stayed in McPherson with some family. Upon Dick’s honorable discharge, the young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of three children, one son and two daughters, Richard, Debra, and Sheryl.

She is survived by her devoted and caring husband of over 66 years, Richard “Dick” Pfalzgraf, of McPherson, Kansas; her children, Richard “Rick” Pfalzgraf and wife Janet, of Navarre, Florida, Debra Mogle and husband Roland, of Wichita, Kansas, and Sheryl Harding and husband Jeff, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her sister, Mary Young and husband Phil, of Liberty, Missouri; her favorite granddaughters, Lauren Fort and husband Brian and Brooke Pfalzgraf; other relatives and a host of friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Helga Brown.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Glidden – Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas.

Graveside service will be at McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12th, 2020 with Dr. Herb Smith officiating.
