Patricia Lee Peterson

Patricia Lee Peterson, 83, of Salina, passed away in her home Monday July 20, 2020 with her loving husband Don by her side.

Patricia was born in Concordia Kansas on February 2, 1937. She lost her parents at age 4. She was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Henry and Bertha Herbin and raised in a very loving home in Jamestown KS. She attended K–12 at the school in Jamestown and graduated Jamestown High School as the class valedictorian. She married Don Peterson on November 23, 1962. Before they moved to Salina they lived in Kansas City where they had 2 children Ronald and Susan. Once in Salina, a neighbor told Pat that a good way to get acquainted in the community is to volunteer, and had an opportunity to work on the Asbury Bazaar. She later was the Chairman of the Asbury Bazaar and was the Asbury Auxiliary Chairman. A few years later she became involved with St. Johns Hospital Auxiliary and chaired their Bazaar and was the St. Johns Auxiliary Chairman. In the mid 1990’s she was the President of the Hospital Auxiliary of Kansas. She was member of the United Methodist Women and a Kansas Lioness Club. All of this while being a wonderful mother and wife.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Peterson. She is survived by her husband Don, her daughter, Susan and husband Danny Brewer, Ronald’s widow Becky Peterson, 6 Grandchildren and a Great Granddaughter.

The family will receive friends at the Ryan Mortuary on Thursday July 23rd from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 901 E Neal Ave, Salina, on Friday July 24th at 11am followed by the burial in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.
