Patty Jo Dennis, 79, of Salina, passed away Friday, December 10. 2021 in the comforts of her home. She was born October 10, 1942, in Burlington, Colorado.
In her early years, Patty was a lead electrician with Wilderness. Patty was an apartment manager alongside her husband in Englewood, Colorado, Dallas, Texas, and Nicholasville, Kentucky. They managed apartments for over 20 years.
Patty also decorated cakes for over 50 years. She decorated the first Baskin Robins wedding cake.
She lived for her family. Patty enjoyed serving her Lord, gardening, and crocheting, She would also make Christmas candy trays for family and friends. Patty was well known for her funny sayings for example: “You think I’m serious, I’m just kidding”, or “I got run over by a Mac fence.” She always kept family and friends laughing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Walter E and Margaret H (Cullen) Scott, 3 sisters; Iona McElfresh, Leta Mae Sumberland, and Rita Ann Holly, and two brothers; Jefferson Scott, and Lawrence Lee Scott, and one great granddaughter Faith McQueen.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 41 years; Clarence B. Dennis, children; Ray Dennis of Atlanta, Ga., Lucinda “Cindy” (Roger) McQueen-Holmes, of Salina,
Larry (Beth) Heltenberg, of Amarillo, Tx, Jerry Dennis of Atlanta, Ga., and Charles “Chuck” Heltenberg of Denver, Co., and 5 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews
A memorial service will be held at a later date in 2022 in Burlington, Co.
