Philo Earl Fahring

Philo Earl Fahring, 94, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Monday, April 2nd, 2018.

Philo was born in Rural Salina, Kansas on September 23, 1923, a son of the late Nancy Elizabeth (Milleson) and Norman D. Fahring.

On June 11, 1946, Philo married Lois M. Morrison.

He owned and operated Central Supply Co. for 38 years. Philo enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting. He and Lois traveled for many years and loved their campers. Together they enjoyed working in their flower and vegetable gardens.

Survivors include wife, Lois of the home; daughter, Donna Young and husband Royce, of Salina, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Dianne Fahring, of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Mark Fahring, of Johnson, Kansas; sister, Erma Tribble, of Blanco, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren, Ivy Hutson and husband Chris of Overland Park, Kansas, Jeffrey Belton and wife Beth of Overland Park, Kansas; Todd Fahring and wife Maci of Cumming, Georgia; great grandchildren, Carter Belton, Will Belton, Thea Melvin, Allyn Fahring, Hollis Fahring, Reid Fahring, Weslee Fahring, step great grandchildren, Kennedy Hutson, Duncan Hutson.

He is preceded in death by son, Alan Fahring; 4 brothers; 1 sister

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, April 9th, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Salina, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alan L. Fahring Endowed Scholarship Fund at Kansas Wesleyan University in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina, Kansas 67401.
