Richard Darrell Lightner, 86, of New Cambria, Kansas, passed away Saturday, October 15th, 2022.
Richard was born in Rural Dickinson County, Kansas on February 14, 1936, a son of Edith Kathleen (Lee) and Theodore Joseph Lightner.
Richard served in the United States Marine Corp and was the owner/operator of Richard Lightner Trucking.
On June 5, 1981, Richard married Nancy Keller in Salina, Kansas.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Lightner of the home; a brother, John “Skip” (Marilyn) Lightner, of Big Oak Valley, California; three daughters, Edie Olson (Jason), of Solomon, Kansas, Kary Wagner, of Solomon, Kansas, Michelle Norman (Scott Shipman), of Winnsboro, Texas; step daughter, Mary Basel (Gary), of Abilene, Kansas; two step sons, Tony Slothower (Crystal) of Salina, Kansas, Rick Slothower, of Salina, Kansas; 17 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill Lightner, Bud Lightner; and sister, Barbara Dickel.
Cremation has been chosen and no services are planned.
