Richard Lee “Rick” Reinecker, 64, of Wichita, Kansas passed away Tuesday, September 8th, 2020 at his residence.
Rick was born in McPherson, Kansas on August 23, 1956, a son of Gene Hayden and Joan Lee (Edwards) Reinecker.
Rick attended Roosevelt Elementary School, McPherson Junior High School and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 1974.
He was a member of Church of the Brethren.
Through the years Rick worked for Mahaney Construction Company, Wichita, Kansas as a foreman, Cruthers Construction, Wichita, Kansas as a carpenter and a mechanic for Malm Automotive, McPherson, Kansas.
Rick enjoyed listening to blue’s music, fishing, grilling, fireworks, KU Basketball, Rick was a diehard KC Chiefs Football fan, loved his grandkids and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his children, Dylan Reinecker, of Wichita, Kansas; Whitney Reinecker, of Wichita, Kansas;
Mackenzie Kettler, of Wichita, Kansas; Meagan Kettler, of Wichita, Kansas; his ex-wife, Toni Marie Kettler, of Wichita, Kansas; his siblings, Pam Washburn and her husband Bill, of Hutchinson, Kansas; Debra Orth and her husband David, of McPherson, Kansas; Janee’ Doll, of Richfield, Wisconsin. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Kaden Reinecker, Lily Goodwin and Carson Goodwin; other relatives and a host of friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Joni and Gene Reinecker; a sister, Cynthia Reinecker; a brother, Mike Reinecker and a nephew, Jason Orth.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Glidden – Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas, with Pastor David Case officiating.
Burial will be held at the McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rick’s Grandchildren Fund and they can be sent to Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid, McPherson, Ks. 67460..
