Robert “Bob” C. Richter, 85, died June 9, 2019. He was born May 10, 1934 in Salina the son of Howard and Dorothy (Paris) Richter. Bob was a farmer rancher who loved calf roping. He was very active with 4-H and had served on the Tri-Rivers Fair Board, and 81/40 Saddle Club. He had worked at the Sale Barn, had been an auchioneer, and operated Johnson Wild Bird Seed. He married Paulyne Kay Farmer on Oct 9, 1955 in Jamestown, Ks.

He is preceded in death by a brother, John “Jack” Beighley.

He is survived by his wife, Kay, of the home; and his children, Linda (Doug) Beech, Hays, KS, Doug (Debbie) Richter, Assaria, and Karen Richter, Titusville, FL. He has two grandchildren, John Walter and Emily (Tyler) Terry and one great grandson, Brayden Terry.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning, June 13, 2019 at the Assaria Lutheran Church, Assaria, KS. The family suggests casual clothing or western wear. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Ryan Mortuary on Wednesday from noon until 8:00 pm where the family will receive friends from 6:30 until 7:30 pm. Memorials are suggested to the church, the Rebecca Morrison House or the Saline Co 4-H Foundation.
