Robert S. “Bob” Stoneberger, age 88, of Abilene, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his home near Abilene. He was born May 31, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio the son of Ralph and Sarah (Wiley) Stoneberger. On July 5, 1949 he was united in marriage to Mary Lois Ostergard in Junction City, Kansas.

Bob served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and later worked for Ft. Riley as a currier. He enjoyed playing guitar, playing horseshoes, and getting his tractor and mowing.

Bob is survived by his daughters Doris Ann Calvin and Phyllis Lea Acker; sons Jack Stoneberger (Joyce) and Ralph Stoneberger (PJ); eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary on January 16, 2018, son Robert JR Stoneberger, great grandson Stanley Morgan, great granddaughter Gabriele Acker, and a brother and sister.
