Robert W. Mathews, fondly known as Bob, passed away on February 15, 2024, at Salina, Kansas. He was born on September 06, 1961, in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania to Charles H. Mathews, Jr and Helen (Gindlesperger) Herber. Bob will forever be remembered by his son, Robert (Ann); his cherished grandson, Eli; his mother, Helen; his siblings, Charlie (Holly), Teresa, and Steve (Bing); his close friends, Kenny & Rayleen Wright and Doris Lauzara.

He was predeceased by his father Charles and stepfather Richard Herber. He is survived by his mother, siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Robert was a Salina Central High School graduate, class of 1979. He was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Robert’s departure leaves a gap in our hearts. May his spirit find tranquility and may those he left behind find comfort in the memories they shared with him.
