Rodney R. Sippel, Assaria, Kansas, passed away January 4, 2023, at the age of 69 after a lengthy illness. He was born September 26, 1953, to the late Arthur C. and Artha E. (Bogart) Sippel.

Rodney was a truck driver, for many years working as an over the road driver. He grew up in rural Saline County on the family farm.

Rodney is survived by his children, Lisa Harrison (Scott) of Bonner Springs, Kansas, and Jennifer Sippel of rural Abilene, Kansas; a brother, Steven Sippel, of Assaria; and two sisters, Linda Sippel of Assaria, and Leta Collie (Jack) of Topeka.  He was predeceased by his brother, Lonnie, and his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th Street, Salina, Kansas.  Burial will be in the Gypsum Cemetery in Gypsum, Kansas, immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gypsum United Methodist Church, 524 King Street, Gypsum, Kansas 67448, or in care of Ryan Mortuary.
