Sandra Sue Meadows, 72, of Gypsum passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023. Sandra was born January 9, 1951, in Sharon Springs, Kansas to Walter and Thelma (Miller) Kowalke.

She was a care giver for Bethel Bower for over a decade while being a devoted mother and wife/host to several Meadows adventures. She was a veteran of the Vietnam War. She always had time for her family and was very active in the Smoky Hill Audubon Society and a donator of too many charities to list.  She will be greatly missed.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two kids, T.J. Meadows and Kathy Lee, of Gypsum; eleven grandchildren; three brothers, Ralf Kowalke, Herman Kowalke, and Ervin Kowalke; two sisters, Joyce and Pacilla Butford.

A Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2023, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina. A Celebration of Life will follow at the home, 419 E. Second St., Gypsum.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Smoky Hill Audubon Society or DAV and sent in care of the mortuary.
