Shane was born in Salina, Kansas and grew up in Sylvan Grove, Kansas where he attended Sylvan Unified High School, graduating in 1998. He worked in and around the area, starting out in masonry, moving on to construction and eventually settling into farming. Shane had a tremendous work ethic and loved to have fun. His hobbies reflected his multi-faceted nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors, YouTube and TikTok, singing along to his favorite tunes and never met a DIY project he would not take on or help a friend with. Most of all, he appreciated time with family and friends. Shane was a kind and gentle soul, thoughtful and generous with his time and affection for those he cared for. Everyone who had the good fortune of knowing Shane, experienced his heart of gold. Until we meet again.
Memorial Services are being held for Shane at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 16th, 2023 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sylvan Grove, Kansas followed by a luncheon. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial donation be made to the family to offset funeral and burial costs.
