Sherrie R. Radcliffe, age 69, entered into rest on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Cloud County Health Center in Concordia, Kansas. She was born August 6, 1949 in Concordia, Kansas to William and Phyllis (Lawyer) Erhardt.
She was a 1967 graduate of Concordia High School. Sherrie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching from the Emporia State University.
On December 30, 1972 she married Richard R. Radcliffe at the 1st United Methodist Church in Concordia, Kansas.
Sherrie worked for the State of Kansas as a Social Worker, starting in 1972 until her retirement. She began her career as a front line social worker and progressed to being a supervisor over eight counties. Sherrie spent the last part of her career assisting developmentally disabled children and adults through the State of Kansas. Sherrie was dedicated to her work and loved helping children. She also was a huge advocate of supporting conservation groups.
She was member of Trinity United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #76, VFW Post #588 Auxiliary all of Concordia.
She had love for cooking, collecting antique jewelry and crafting. Her favorite time of year was Christmas as she always delivered hand-made jellies and vinegars. She had a love for the theatre and enjoyed putting on productions with the Brown Grand players. She most enjoyed her family and friends, especially her grandchildren Griffin and Evie.
Survivors include her Husband, Richard R. Radcliffe, Concordia, KS.; daughter, Jillian Richard (Craig), two grandchildren, Griffin and Evie all of Leawood, KS.; Father, Bill Erhardt, Concordia, KS.; brother-in-law, James “Jim” Radcliffe (Dianne) Runaway Bay, TX., and their children, niece, Tia Langston (Mark) Somersworth, New Hampshire, nephew, Tege Radcliffe, Runaway Bay, TX.
Sherrie was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Radcliffe, mother, Phyllis, sister, Rozanna Erhardt, sister-in-law, Freda Lou Radcliffe.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 4-5 pm, Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas.
