Shirley Jacques died October 7 at home at age 89. Shirley served 18 years as Saline County Clerk, and was involved in politics at the local, state and national levels. In addition she was involved in numerous civic organizations over many years.

Born May 29, 1931 in Delphos to Leo and Jessie Allison, Shirley grew up in Ottawa Co., attended KSU, and was married in 1951 to Robert Jacques. They moved to Salina in 1965.

Shirley is survived by three children, Paula, Brent, and Kate Jacques, and has two grandchildren, Melissa and Matt.

No services are planned at this time owing to Covid, however a reception will be held at a later date.
