Sudana Wilkins

Sudana Wilkins, 66, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, February 11th, 2020.

Sudana was born in Salina, Kansas on July 21, 1953, a daughter of the late Jacquelyn Marie (Nelson) Wilkins and Clarence Howard Wilkins, of Detroit, Michigan.

She spent her career shaping young minds as a teacher at Roosevelt Lincoln Middle School, St. John’s Military School, Lakewood Middle School and Salina Central High School. She was also a member of the NAACP Salina, NEA and St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her father, Clarence Wilkins, of Detroit, Michigan; daughter, Antonia Cherry, of Jacksonville, Florida; and sister, Camille Delaughter, of Salina, Kansas.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Jeffery Wilkins.

At the family’s request there will be no visitation as cremation has been chosen.

A Celebration of Sudana’s Life will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 22st, at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, Salina, Kansas.
