Susan D. (Noyes) Edmonds

Susan D. (Noyes) Edmonds, 56, of Culver, Kansas passed away at home on Saturday, August 10, 2019.

I was born November 4, 1962 to Guyla Sue (Henshaw) Burkholder, of Culver, Kansas.

As a young girl, my family moved to Topeka, Kansas and I graduated from Topeka High School. While in Topeka, I had the privilege to sing with a local band called “The Music Makers. I worked road construction for D & D Trucking and Herzog Construction. I also worked road construction the Texas and Oklahoma.

I moved back to the Salina area and went to school at Salina VoTec for my CNA and worked at Windsor Estates and other area care facilities as a certified CNA.

I love God first and foremost and was baptized into Christ at the Salina church of Christ on December 4, 2011. This journey would not have all been possible without the love, support & prayers of my church family.

I love music and helping others and as far as I’m concerned, there is no such thing as a stray cat.

I am survived by my son, Joshua Black (Trish); my little sister, Lil Bilbrey; my brothers, Mike Noyes, Forrest Noyes (Andrea), Lowell Toothman, Donny Burkholder (Karen) and Arty Burkholder (Lisa), and my grandchildren; Andrew & Mary; many nieces & nephews; my best friend for over 28 years, Dorothy Dickerman; and my good friend Kim Ringer.

I am preceded in death by my husband Bernard “Bernie” Edmonds; my son, Adam Edmonds; my stepfather, Carl Burkholder; my natural father, Kenneth M. Lamer; my maternal grandparents; William H. and Florence Henshaw.

Services will be held at the Salina Church of Christ at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 14, 2019.

Contributions are to be made to the Salina Church of Christ in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina, Kansas 67401.
