Susan Gail Ramsey, age 62, a Concordia resident, left this earthly life on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at her residence in Concordia. She was born on Sept. 16, 1956 in Eugene, Oregon to Parmer and Joan (Earley) Heller, Jr.
She attended Salina Central High School in Salina, Kansas.
Susan was the head cook at the Senior Citizens Center, and she had previously worked as a cook for Mt. Joseph Senior Village both of Concordia, Kansas.
She enjoyed, Elvis, Coca Cola, Taz her cat, Chocolate, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Susan is survived by her 2 sons, Harley Gossman (Stephanie), Ogden, KS.; Todd DeWitt (Ashley), Blue Rapids, KS.; sisters, Vicki Simpson (Ricky), Concordia, KS.; Kathy Heller, Salina, KS.; brother, Clayton Heller (Jamie), Sacramento, CA.; 5 grandchildren and one on the way, 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Parmer and Joan Heller, Jr., sister, Penny DeWitt, brother, Mickey Heller.
It was Susan’s wishes to be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas with Pastor Bob Burns officiating. Inurnment of the cremains will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.
There will be no visitation.
The family suggests memorials to the Susan Gail Ramsey Memorial Fund in lieu of flowers, in care of the funeral home.
