Teresa Ann Gestl, 76, of Salina, went to Heaven, Friday, Feb. 1, 2019. She was born Sept. 27, 1942, in Grand Island, Neb., to Lyle and Virginia (Ellsworth) Floro. Teresa was a graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University, where she was selected as homecoming and sweetheart queen. She was an elementary school teacher in Salina for many years. Teresa married Paul Gestl Sr., Dec. 13, 1997 in Salina. She then joined Paul in work with his company, Merchant Security and Special Police, for 12 years before their retirement.
She is survived by: stepchildren, Claire, Frank, Steve, and John; cousins, Kathy Johnson, Ruth Hartman, Donna Ramsay, Robert Ellsworth, Judith Moorberg, Janice George, Barbara Sutter, and Mary Tague; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; and husband of 18 years, Paul.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Feb. 8, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Feb. 9, at Ryan Mortuary, with Rev. Kevin Hazelton officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.
Memorials may be made in Teresa’s honor to First Baptist Church of Salina, Salina Animal Shelter, or Salina Food Bank, in care of Ryan Mortuary.
