Terrence “Terry” L. Elsasser, of Salina, passed away January 11, 2023.
Terry was born in Rockford, Illinois to Eula Mae Budden. At the age of 16, he was adopted by Ralph F. Elsasser.
Terry graduated from Harlem High School in 1960. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in August 1961. His basic training was in San Antonio, Texas at Lackland AFB. He had tech school training in Port Hueneme, California, which was a naval training center, for heating specialist. For the rest of his term, he was at Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka, Kansas.
He spent all his career in manufacturing, retiring from KASA Fabrication Manufacturing in Salina, Kansas in 2007.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Letha Elsasser; their three children, Mark Elsasser, Gail Henning, and Ryan Elsasser (Stephanie); eight grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, and Isaac Elsasser, Heather Henning Phillips (Jeremy), Marissa Henning, Candice Jackson, Kassie Murray, and Jordan Elsasser; and eight great grandchildren; siblings, Vicki Szymanski, Marie Mayer, Kevin Elsasser (Ginger); and many nieces and nephews on both sides.
He is preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Robert Henning.
Cremation has been chosen and no services are planned.
