Thomas Huiett, 96, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021. He was born December 30, 1924 in Salina, KS.
Tom served in World War II with the 172nd Army Unit. He was in the Pacific Theater at New Guinea and Luzon as a light machine gunner. Tom was awarded 3 Purple Hearts and a Silver Star. After the army, Tom worked for Graves Trucking as a Driver for 20 years. He was a proud Veteran and an amazing man.
Tom loved his wife Frankee so very much. They both enjoyed traveling and dancing. He also enjoyed working word searches and going to casinos. He was fun loving and adventurous.
Tom was so incredibly helpful and generous with his time. He would be there for anyone who needed help. He was amazing with his hands, and he could fix anything. Tom was a loving Godfather, and a caring dog owner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank B. and Laura Bell (Mason) Huiett; beloved wife of 70 years, Frankee; 3 sisters; 5 brothers.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews and friends.
Graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, March 20, 2021 at, Roselawn Memorial Park, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.
