Timothy “Tim” E. Young died March 21, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. Tim was the second child of Bob Young and Shirley (Smith) Zamrzla. He was born June 11, 1953, in Miami, OK and later attended schools in Salina, KS and Grants, NM. He joined the U.S. Marines in 1972 and was discharged in 1974.

Tim and Rita McLain were married in September 1977 and had 2 children, Ray and Sarah. They later divorced. Tim and Michelle Slyter married in December 2001. He adopted her 2 sons, Clayton and Cameron and they had a son, Jacob. They later divorced.

Tim is survived by his 5 children, 7 grandchildren; brothers, John (Debra) Young, Jeff Zamrzla, Kurt (Wendy) Young, Tony Zamrzla, and 2 sisters, Tere (Lynn) Witters and Tammy (Austin) Riley.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., October 8, 2021, at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, along with his mother and his stepfather’s service.
