Tommie Brayboy, age 78, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Salina Regional Health Center. He was born on November 19, 1942 to William Robert Brayboy and Pearlie Lee (Brooks) Brayboy in Robeson County North Carolina.
After graduating high school from Fairmount High, he joined the Army and fought in the Vietnam war. He later served one tour in South Korea where he met his wife Yong Kae (Park) Brayboy. They had two children son, Adam and daughter, Spring Flowers Brayboy.
He is preceded in death by his son, Adam; sisters, Queen Locklear, Maggie Locklear, Dorothy Gilbeault, Doris Daignault, and Jeanette Monte; and brothers, Edward, Clyde, Donald, and Charles Lee Brayboy.
He is survived by his wife, Yong Kae; daughter, Spring Flowers; grandchildren, Kaeden, Korina, Eisleigh, and Jentry; sisters, Shirley, Joyce, and Paul Anne; and brothers, Robert and Marvin.
He was a loving father, faithful husband, and adoring grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish. His love for the Lord was apparent in his life. He instilled hardworking value in his children and grandchildren. He served his country proudly. He will be missed dearly by his family and loved ones.
Viewing will be Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Ryan Funeral Mortuary from 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be held Friday, January 22, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 639 Max Avenue, Salina. Burial will immediately follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
