Ulysses Marshall, 93, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Thursday, February 13th, 2020.
Ulysses was born in Kenneth, Missouri on March 1, 1926, a son of the late Luella and Rev. John Marshall.
On January 27, 1948, he married Lurline Gadson in Arkansas.
He served in the United States Navy and retired after 20+ years from Beech Aircraft.
He was a member of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church and the Golden Eagles Motorcycle Club. He loved to fish, ride motorcycles, gardening, trains, camping and spending time with his family.
Survivors include daughters, Brenda Hood, and Glenda Teach, both of Salina; granddaughters, Anita Todd (Tracey), of San Antonio, Texas, Dinetta Marshall of Nevada, Jackie Marshall, of Atlanta, Georgia, Kachel Sturgeon (Ryan) of Manhattan, Kansas, Jalena Hood, of Salina, and 3 grandsons; 15 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lurline Marshall; sons, Leroy Marshall, Alphonso Marshall, and David Marshall; daughters, Lurdine Marshall, Mary Marshall, and Alice Marshall; son-in-law, Wilson Stewart; two brothers, Milton Marshall and Leroy Marshall; and sister, Dorothy.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 20th from 1:00 to 8:00 pm at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio Street, Salina, with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Friday, February 21st at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, 215 S Chicago Street. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery Salina, Kansas.
