Wanda (Reager) Augustine

 

SALINA – Wanda Augustine, 89, passed away peacefully the afternoon of June 14, 2021 with the love of her family surrounding her. She was born in Oakley, Kansas to Ted and Foulata Reager.
After graduating from high school, Wanda attended Brown Mackie Business College. Shortly thereafter, she met her life’s partner, Leo Augustine. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Diana Baker (Cliff), Dennis Augustine (Vera), Cindy Will (Roger), and Linda Krause (Kendall); four grandchildren, Ryan Will, Lori Augustine, Heather Haugen, and Kyle Augustine; six great-grandchildren; and half-sister, Kay Jennings.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leo.

Wanda was a woman of many passions including painting, sewing, gardening, and watching the sports of her great-grandchildren. For many years, Wanda worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield as a Regional Operations Manager.

Friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Wanda at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina. Visitation will be one hour before the service at Ryan Mortuary. Interment will follow in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or the 2021 Walk to End Alzheimer’s with Salina Presbyterian Manor. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Salina Presbyterian Manor and Hospice of Salina for their care and compassion.
