Will A. Pittenger, 92, passed away Monday Feb. 12th, 2018, at Ashton Court Nursing Home in Liberty, MO.
Will was born Aug. 15th, 1925. In his early adult life he moved between Dickinson, North Dakota, and Junction City, Kansas. He eventually settled with his family in Salina, where he lived many years of his adult life in the 1960s and 1970s.
Will was the body shop manager for Jim Sullivan Chevrolet in Salina before later owning and operating his own businesses.
Will owned and operated Salina Body and Fender, Salina Wrecker Service, and the Casa Loma Motel.
Will lived a colorful life, and was active in the community during his time in Salina. He once even unsuccessfully campaigned for the office of Saline County Sheriff.
Will relocated to the Kansas City area in the late 1970s, where he resided for the remainder of his life.
Will was preceded in death by his parents and brother. He is survived by his wife Linda Pittenger; sons, Jerry (Tammy) and Bill (Dee), daughters; Betty Aden (Steve), Sandy Alexander (Mike), and Kay Lynn Nichols and 21 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO, is handling the arrangements.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 18th from 10-11:00 am at White Chapel Funeral Home and Cemetery. Graveside services will follow.
