Willard William “Bill” Chegwidden, 76, of Salina, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019. He was born Nov. 21, 1942, to Arliss and Eleanora (Meitler) in Sylvan Grove.
Bill was a retired printer; having worked 52 years at Arrow Printing. He was devoted to volunteering at Trinity Lutheran Church, American Red Cross and the United Way VITA tax program.
Bill is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Betsy Cameron (Bil), of Aurora, Colo., Thomas Chegwidden (Michelle), of Rose Hill, Holly Taylor (Jeremy), of New York, N.Y.; Mary’s children, Richard Wolfe (Penny), of Hillsborough, N.J., and Sarah Strahm (Jeffrey), of Lewisville, N.C.; sister, Karen Barbour (Dick), of Austin, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; first wife of 49 years, Ann; brother, Gene; sister-in-law, Carol; and great-grandson, Brendan.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 702 S. Ninth St., Salina.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
