William G. (Bill) Rexroat, 94, of Wichita, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, after a short illness.
Bill was born July 14, 1929 in Russell County, KS (he was delivered at home and liked to say that the doctor that delivered him also delivered Bob Dole).
He married Nedra Michel on August 6, 1950, and farmed in the Downs area until moving to Salina in 1984, where he sold cars and real estate, and did cross-country trucking. He enjoyed blue-rock shooting, bowling, old cars, golfing and woodworking. He especially enjoyed sharing tall tales and reminiscing with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, his wife (Nedra), two sons-in-law (Kris and Steve) and a grandson (Tyler).
Survivors include son William B. (Dorene) Rexroat of Kansas City, KS; Karen Boehner of Salisbury, NC; Barb (Bob) Martinez of Wichita, and Vickie Cranston of Wichita; grandchildren John (Keri) Rexroat, Sarah Rexroat, Kristine Monchil, Bryan Kincheloe, Trent (Randi) Boehner, Collin Cranston and Coulter (Beatrice) Cranston., as well as 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 901 E. Neal, Salina. Interment will be private in the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Salina, KS.
