William Ray “Bill” Whitaker, 54, of Salina, passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019. He was born Oct. 10, 1964, in Salina to Bill and Darlene (Cole) Whitaker.

Bill didn’t know a stranger and always had fun no matter what he was doing. He loved fishing, racing, jet skis and anything that went fast. He loved his dogs and especially his family. Bill was a bail bondsman and owner of Absolute Bail Bonds.

Bill is survived by his wife, Julie (Case) Whitaker; children, Sarah Parker and Jourdan Case; siblings, Dale Gebhardt (Sandy), Jodie Hoffman, Linda Russel, Debbie Baker, Randy Whitaker and Brenda Taylor (Mitch).

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Ron Woods; sisters, Denise Miller and Diane Rasmussen; and nephew, Christian Tucker.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.

Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at Ray Avenue Baptist Church, 2801 Ray Ave., Salina.

Memorials may be made to the Salina Animal Shelter or Kansas Honor Flight, in care of Ryan Mortuary.
