A silver serving platter valued at $1,000 that was reported stolen from a parked car has been recovered.

Lt. Scott Siemsen tells KSAL News that the 3-foot by 2-foot, ornate silver platter with handles was found in the house of the person hired to clean it.

Last week, the platter was reported as stolen from a car that was parked in the 700 block of Wood.
