The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at a home northeast of Salina.
Deputies were called to a residence on N. Crystal Springs Road on Wednesday after someone forced open the front door and removed two jars of coins.
The homeowner told deputies the burglary happened sometime between 4:45pm on Tuesday afternoon and 7am Wednesday morning.
One jar held an estimated $400 in dimes while the second jar contained $35 in pennies.
Cost to repair the door jamb is estimated at $100.
