Brooks Garretson, 14, puts some finishing last touches on his handcrafted dinosaur sculpture. The sculpture has a chicken wire skeleton with a paper mache and gauze outer body. Nearly 100 hours went in to its creation.
Stony Pony, a 13-year-old miniature horse stands by a towering combine outside of the 4-H building. Stony is owned by Rylee Schrock and can be seen at the petting zoo during the fair.
A goat in a show pen stands up using the rungs of it’s fence enclosure. This goat is one of many to be shown at the fair hoping for a ribbon.
Keegan Griffin, 9, washes his bucket calf, Cali in preparation to be shown. This year is Griffin’s first year competing in the fair, his father says Keegan is shy, but loves being around the animals.
