Police are investigating a burglary and theft from a Salina home.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of E. Prospect on Friday evening after someone forced open a side door and removed numerous prescription drugs from a home.

Police say the crime happened sometime between 10am and 6pm.

Thieves took 16 various kinds of pain and prescription pills valued at $600.
