Salina Police are investigating the theft of two trailers from motel lots. According to Captain Mike Sweeney, a trailer with a riding mower and trailer with 2 ATVs on board were both stolen during the early morning hours on Tuesday. Police say a Dixon Z TR riding mower valued at $4,500 was tethered to a black trailer parked in the lot at the Baymont Inn, 1740 W. Crawford. The owner, Michael Perry from El Dorado told officers both were taken along with a 16-foot extension ladder sometime between 1am and 6:40am yesterday.

Total loss is listed at $6,200.

Police are also reviewing video from another trailer theft that occurred on Tuesday morning between 4:08am and 4:16am at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites, 201 E. Diamond Drive. Police say a 7-foot by 12-foot trailer that had two Yamaha Grizzly ATVs on board was stolen from the curb next to the 24/7 Convenience Store.

Total loss is listed at $5,000.
