U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is not running for the Senate.

Multiple reports indicate that Pompeo met yesterday with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to tell him that he would not run for the seat currently held by retiring Kansas Senator Pat Roberts.

Pompeo served as the Kansas Fourth District Congressman from 2011 to 2017 before joining the Trump administration.
