Price Remains on Ballot Despite Arrest

A candidate running for the Kansas House of Representatives is still on the ballot despite a drug and weapons arrest.

Republican Jim Price of Wichita is challenging incumbent Democrat Jim Ward in the House’s 86th District race. Price was arrested in May on suspicion of marijuana possession and illegal possession of a firearm when police executed a search warrant at his home concerning an ongoing drug investigation.

Price says he has not been charged with a crime.
