Salina Police are investigating several recent thefts and burglaries. They include:
- Jewelry and electronics were stolen from a home at 325 S. Oakdale. Police say that sometime between January 14th and January 16th, a door was pried open to gain entrance to a home at 325 S. Oakdale. Items taken include an engagement ring with wedding band, a gold ring with marquee stones, a 7 inch Android tablet, two AC vacuums, and an AC recovery machine. Total loss is estimated at $2,180.
- Sometime between 10 pm on January 14th and 1 am on January 15th, numerous pairs of athletic shoes were stolen from the trunk of a car parked at 815 E .Wayne. The truck hand been left partially open. Total loss is estimated at $875.
- Sometime on January 15th between 2 pm and 6 pm a Samsung Blue Ray player and 20 Blue Ray Discs were stolen from a home at 323 baker. Total loss is estimated at $520.
- Sometime between 2:40 and 2:45 in the afternoon on January 17th, a 1996 Maroon Ford Taurus was stolen while parked at the Ambassador Motel at 1616 W. Crawford. The keys had been left in the ignition of the unlocked car. Total loss is estimated at $2,000.
- Sometime between January 9th and January 18th numerous tools were stolen from 2140 E. Crawford. Missing tools include a Porter Cable Impact Drill, a Sawzall, a reciprocal saw, two rechargeable batteries and a charger, and a Kobalt 250 piece mechanic tool set. Total loss is estimated at $800.
