Salina Police have promoted four officers.

The department announced via social media on Tuesday that officers Mike Miller, Paul Forrester, Scott Hogeland, and Sarah Cox have all received promotions.

Cox, Hogeland, and Miller have all been promoted to the rank of sergeant. Forrester has been promoted to the rank of captain.

The promotions come just a couple of days after the department lost three officers that had a combined 86 years of service. Long-time officers Lieutenant Gerald Shaft, Captain Jim Norton, and Master Patrol Officer Randy Jennings all retired on Friday.
