A Salina woman is flown to a Wichita hospital following an injury crash on 81-Highway.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office reports that 58-year-old Sandra French may have had a medical issue while she was driving northbound on 81-Highway near the Saline/Ottawa County line, causing her to lose control of her car.

Deputies say her 2011 Chevy Equinox was hidden from sight after it crossed both lanes and crashed into a deep ravine on the west side of the highway at about 7:10pm Tuesday evening.

French called for help and was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center – then flown to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with multiple injuries.
