Two Salina women had several items–including multiple tablets–stolen from their northeast Salina apartment.
Police Capt. Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that the burglary happened sometime between 7:55 a.m. and noon on Wednesday at an apartment complex at 1132 E. Ash.
One of the victims, a 61-year-old Salina woman came home for lunch to find a light left on that she knew she had turned off before she left for work, prior that morning.
The woman continued to investigate and realized that several things were gone through in the apartment. The victim and her daughter, a 33-year-old woman, both live together in the apartment and had several items stolen.
Among the list of items stolen includes a Samsung tablet, Kindle Fire tablet with a Vera Bradley cover, Ellipsis 8 tablet, Kindle Paper White with a Vera Bradley cover, a custom Langejans guitar with a light colored wood front in a black case and two different pearl necklaces.
It appears that the thief entered the apartment through the rear of the residence, though there are no signs of forced entry.
Total loss is listed at $3,000. There are no suspects.
