Reno County will soon have a new sheriff.

Randy Henderson announced this week that he will retire as Reno County sheriff on December 27th.

Henderson, who spent more than four decades in law enforcement, says plans to spend more time with his 98-year-old mother and attend more of his grandchildren’s games and school-related events.

The Reno County Republican Party will appoint Henderson’s replacement.
