Teams are forming once again to gather at the Salina Municipal Golf Course for the 17th Annual Mulligan Stew Golf Tournament.
“We have ‘Do-overs’ by the golfers. For every ‘Do-over’ they have to bring 5 cans of soup,” said Steve Kmetz, Director of the Salina Rescue Mission.
Kmetz joined in on the KSAL Morning News Monday with a look at the popular tournament that helps benefit the Salina Rescue Mission and Emergency Aid/Food Bank. “All the soup goes to the Food Bank, and we give them some of the proceeds of the benefit that we raise from the 21 to 26 four-person teams every year.”
This year’s event will take place Friday, May 27th at the Salina Municipal Golf Course.
Continental Breakfast is at 7am, Registration at 7:30am, Tee-off time at about 8am.
Kmetz added that there is still time to sign up by calling the Rescue Mission at 785-823-2610, orĀ “You can come that morning and we’ll be happy to sign you up,” he said.
