Southeast of Saline is in search of a new superintendent.

According to the USD #306 Board of Education, Richard Proffitt is resigning as Superintendent of Schools, effective June 30th. He has accepted the superintendent’s position at USD #413 Chanute Public Schools.

Proffitt is in his 4th year serving as the superintendent of schools at Southeast of Saline.  Prior to coming to the district, he served as a teacher, coach, and building administrator in 3 other districts.

The Board will begin the search process for a successor immediately.
