Salina Police officers stepped up traffic patrols during the Labor Day holiday weekend with increased officers looking for infractions on the streets and roadways between August 17th and September 2nd.

According to Police Captain Jim Feldman, officers made 96 stops and handed out 13 citations for seatbelt violations, 72 speeding tickets and 35 other contacts with area motorists.
