A Salina man is transported to the hospital after being stabbed twice in the stomach.

Salina Police are interviewing witnesses after a 48-year-old man was stabbed following a disturbance at an apartment complex at 501 E. Crawford.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that the wounds did not appear to be life threatening before the victim went into surgery at Salina Regional Health Center.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

The incident occurred between 10pm and 11pm Tuesday evening.
